Why are these sections always written as though someone else is talking? Seems a bit impersonal, so let's throw that out and try something different.

Heya, I'm Peter Brooksbank. I'm a co-founder of PJC Commerce Limited, the company behind PureClarity, and a Senior Software Engineer at A51. I work on PJC Commerce Limited outside of my day job.

I've been working in software for over a decade now, primarily in the e-commerce space. That's involved a lot of projects for different sizes of client, everything from small businesses to large enterprises that are household names.

I'm full stack, capable of working on every part of a project, but if you asked me a preference it'd be the backend. Like every developer with over a decade of experience, picking up new frameworks and languages as needed is par for the course, though my current happy place is TypeScript and Node.js.

My work history is an almost equal mix of client projects and product development. I'm very comfortable in both environments, but I have to admit that I prefer the latter. Something about been able to see a project grow from an idea to a fully-fledged product is just so satisfying. To then be able to improve that product over time, so it delivers more value to it's users in an ever more efficient way, is even better. It certainly doesn't hurt that you've got users paying for it either.

I've worked on a lot of different projects, but the one I'm most proud of is PureClarity. It's an e-commerce focused personalisation platform that uses AI to deliver the perfect product recommendations and experience to every visitor. I've been working on it for years now, first as an employee and later acquiring it with my business partner.

It's not something that was planned out from the start, but it's been a great journey. I've learned a lot about running a business, and building a product that provides value and people love. I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes next.
